Help encourage and support the United States military by making it known that they are appreciated and cared for by creating pictures or writing letters to those just entering the military, those who are currently serving in the military, and those who have survived the military.
Materials needed: paper, coloring utensils, pencils, pens, scissors, glue, construction paper, addresses, envelopes, stamps.
This project will allow students to support another population that they may not normally be thinking about or surrounded by. Or for other students it may give them an opportunity to reach out to family members or family friends who may have been, or currently are, involved in the military. It allows the students’ creativity and compassion to shine through in their pictures/letters they write for them.
