AmeriCorps Mentoring Advocate Position Available
We are currently hiring for an AmeriCorps position to assist with CYC’s Mentor Advantage Program (MAP). This position has a term of service from September 1, 2018 to August 31, 2019. The AmeriCorps Mentoring member with Community Youth Concepts (CYC) will work with programs and community organizations that support youth through mentoring. This position will have a variety of responsibilities including:
- Assist in the strengthening of a Sustainability Plan with support and guidance from IDPH via trainings, meetings and templates.
- Recruit at least 15 new mentors per host site.
- Create and facilitate 12 trainings per host-site focused on substance abuse prevention education to at least 90 participants.

CYC is currently looking for interns to assist with summer programming. Interns will have the opportunity to gain experience with program planning, facilitate with groups of students, and be a part of the review and improvement process. Interns could be part or full time during the months of June and July. Extended opportunities may be available.
Help us provide high quality opportunities that prepare youth for school, work, and life while enhancing your professional skills and building your resume. CYC internships are flexible and work around your interests and time requirements. Interns are needed to assist in the areas of marketing, social work, grant writing, evaluation, youth development, and/or health and wellness. Interns create marketing campaigns, assist with event planning, lead youth workshops, write grants, plan programming, and make a difference in the community.
