POSITION PURPOSE: Facilitate programming with upper elementary, middle, and high school students to enhance the development of social-emotional and workforce skills by providing opportunities for youth and adults to work together, apply academic learning, and provide youth-directed service to the community.
POTENTIAL PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitate and coordinate Community Youth Concepts (CYC) weekly programming, which may include, Teen Outreach Program, Stowe Heights Challenge Course programming, Rights, Respect, Responsibility Curriculum, or Experiential Learning programs. Identify the needs of youth and connect with community resources. Assist with other CYC programs as it is requested.
EXPECTATIONS:
Recruit youth, plan groups, and provide group facilitation for CYC programming. Completing all recruited CYC and grant reports as required, (90%) Assist in the improvement of programming (10%)
Assist in the planning and implementation of various recognition, celebrations, and fundraising events (as needed)
Assist in the development and implementation of evaluation, and strategic plans (as needed)
Assist with the identification of CYC allies, including business allies who can serve as additional support, for CYC programming (as needed)

Internships and Practicum Students
CYC is currently looking for interns and practicum students to assist with programming. Our interns contribute to our high quality programming while building their resumes and honing their professional skills. Internships are flexible and can work around your time requirements and unique interests.
Interns will gain experience with direct facilitation, program planning, and the review and improvement process by assisting with event planning, creating marketing campaigns, developing programming, leading youth workshops, and writing grants.
