Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC) Network
We are excited to offer another YVC of Des Moines Summer of Service Camp! This year’s Summer of Service Camp overall theme is “Building a Better Community.” Students ages 11-18 are invited to join us as we work together to build a better community through volunteer service and team building activities. Camps meet Monday-Thursday from 9:00am-4:00pm on the following weeks:
June 11-14: Building Stronger Teams
June 25-28: Building the Great Outdoors
July 9-12: Building Community Connections
July 23-26: Building our Future
The cost of YVC Camp is $150 per week, but scholarships are available based on a variety of factors including financial need.  Click here to download the scholarship application.Â

Our YVC affiliate programs utilize research-based curriculum with a strong service foundation. Our programs are affiliated with Chrysalis, Wyman Teen Outreach Program, United Way, IDPH, and Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC). We facilitate service-based after school programming here at CYC and at the following schools:
o East High School
o Harding Middle School
o Jensen Elementary School
o King Elementary School
o North High School
o Southeast Polk High School
o Urbandale Middle School
o Woodside Middle School
