Provide Education Opportunities On Community Issues

If you have a passion for a particular issue, consider hosting an educational opportunity at your school, a local college, local library, or community-based non-profit to inform others about your concern.

Some steps to consider include researching to see if there is a non-profit or teacher who is also concerned about the same issue. If you can find a partner, you may be able to get access to groups, printing for flyers, or snacks for an event. Before you put too much work into your presentation, make sure you have an audience.

One great example of what can happen when you passionately care about an issue and take it to the community is “Teens Against Human Trafficking”, led by a Des Moines 18 year old.
