Host Donation Drives

Host a donation drive to impact a local issue. First, make sure the subject of your drive is needed by speaking with local experts. Then, plan your drive!

Supplies needed: container for the drive, marketing materials, and partners.

Make sure to talk with local businesses, your school, or other potential partners to serve as collection sites and to help spread the word of your drive.

Items that work well in drives: canned food for a food pantry or shelter, socks for homeless, animal food for a local animal shelter, art or school supplies for a local school, afterschool, or community-based program, clothing for a local school, youth or women’s homeless shelter, coins to raise money for local issues, pop tabs for Ronald McDonald House, or box tops for a local school.
