CYC Ropes Course and Portable Challenge
Community Youth Concepts is currently raising money to build a High and Low Ropes Course in Des Moines! A ropes course is a challenging outdoor personal development and team building activity which usually consists of high and/or low elements. Low elements take place on the ground or above the ground. High elements are usually constructed in trees or made of utility poles and require a belay for safety. A ropes course pushes youth safely beyond their comfort zone to build teamwork and self-confidence and can also be used for adult leadership development opportunities.
If you are interested in helping sponsoring the CYC Ropes Course and help bring this great resource to Des Moines you can download our brochure which includes information on sponsorship or contact Amy Croll.
Another great way to support the Ropes course is to purchase Raffle Tickets for the O’Donnell Open and Kiwanis World Getaway! By purchasing a raffle ticket (or 3 for $10) for the O’Donnell Raffle you can win a Disney World 4 pack! Add in a purchase of the Kiwanis World Getaway raffle (1 for $10 or pack of 11 for $100) and win Dinner anywhere in the world for 2 people, including airfare, your meal, and spending money for your trip. Both sets of raffles can be purchased at CYC or by contacting Amy at firstname.lastname@example.org. All proceeds will help fund the high and low ropes course that will impact over 2500 youth in the metro!
