This is the only statewide survey that documents the experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) and straight allied students, as well as levels of racism and sexism in schools and on campuses. The survey has been conducted biannually since 2005 and was instrumental in passing Iowa’s Safe Schools Law in 2007.
